Slick Chick - Stampingbella

Oooh-la-la, parlez-vous fran├žais?
This chick is just 'cracks me up'!  She's a little vampy and campy and she's Stampingbella's Slick Chick.  I like so many of the Stampingbella images but the little chicks are some of my favourites and I would say I am very close to having all of them.
Hope you are keeping well.  It's definitely fall here with the leaves having turned colour and many fallen to the ground but the temps are still 'light jacket' kind of weather.
Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Patsy & Gizmo - Zoom on a Broom

Today marks a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments and the theme is Hallowe'en/Fall. Perfect theme for me because I love Hallowe'en.  Not the scary, spooky stuff... just the fun and cute.
I thought I'd try something a little different this time so I pulled out some watercolor paper and my distress inks. After masking off a moon, it was time to try the sky.  I first rubbed in Stormy Sky, then Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and finally Black Soot.  The colours got darker as I got closer to the edges.  Then the moon... I used a small brush and painted in Scattered Straw, Marigold and then a few strokes of the Stormy Sky.  I found a few star stamps so embossed them in using Ranger's Super Fine Gold embossing powder and then added a few sprinkles of it in the moon.  Same embossing powder for the sentiment which is from a very old Stampin' Up set called Just Flying By.  Bats... sheesh, I don't like bats at all.  Occasionally, one would hang on the railings in our overhead shop door and when you'd open the door, the bat would give a little screech and off it went.  Maybe it didn't screech... I thought it did but I do remember running as fast as my legs would carry me so I could get the heck outta there.  Anyway, that was a bit of rambling... but what I did for the bats was simply cut out an outline on black card stock.
Details and rules and rules for the challenge can be found on the Challenge Blog and the generous prizes for the winners are:
3 images if the winner used a Crafty Sentiments Designs image; 1 image only for a winner who has not used a Crafty Sentiments Designs image; 1 image for our crafty sentiments favourite.
For the card, I used the Patsy & Gizmo - Zoom on a Broom stamp which can be found at the Crafty Sentiments Designs shop.  These images are so cute and I'm sure you will not be held responsible if a few stamps just happen to fall into your cart!  Be sure to pop by the challenge blog and check out what the talented ladies have created.

alltogethereveleyn - Stampingbella

Hi and I hope you are doing well.
This is going to be a very quick and short post because I am running behind.  I should have had this posted a couple days ago but after being away for five days, I'm finding it difficult to catch up. Slowly but surely....
This card is something different from me.  I've liked the Danielle Donaldson stamps since Stampingbella began carrying them but I was never too sure what I should do with them since I tend to gravitate more towards the cutesie images.  The theme last week at the Stampingbella blog was to make your own background so I immediately thought of the alltogetherevelyn stamp I have and doing a sunburst background. Somewhere in this craft room of mine is a Tim Holtz sunburst stencil which I searched high and low for but did not find so off I went to find one for my Silhouette cutting machine.  Once it was cut, all I did was use sponge in a straw coloured Tim Holz distress ink and the background was done.  After colouring the image, I cut it out with scissors (yeah... I still fight with that cutting machine to cut around images) and glued it down. A few Kennedy Grace Creations Honeybee sequins and the card was finished.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Surf's Up - All Dressed Up

Today marks a new challenge at All Dressed Up Challenge Blog and my choice of digis to use is Surf's Up.  I have a grandson who is having a birthday shortly and he's really into sharks.  Me, not so much and I'd be scared witless if I ever saw a real one.  No surfing for me....
I'm not sure if I'm happy with this card or not... I smooshed Tim Holt's Tumbled glass and Stormy Sky for the background.  I think I'm unsure because it seems busier than my normal style but regardless, the birthday boy will love it.  He's probably expecting a shark tooth inside but no, it will be some money and he'll probably buy himself a big box of Pokemon cards.
The theme at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog  is always Anything Goes with the only rule to enter being you use an All Dressed Up image.  If you don't have any, they can be can either be purchased at the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop or downloading one of several cute freebies offered on the blog.

Chicks with a Sprinkle on Top - Stampingbella

Hi & hoping you are having a great week.  To those dealing with the devastation and upheaval due to the hurricanes - stay safe.  As one who has never experienced this trauma, I cannot begin to imagine the trauma but our thoughts are with you.
I am seriously trying to work my way through the mounds of Stampingbella stamps I have.  I love them and buy some from every release and then buy some more not from the release... you know the drill!  I am determined to get ink of some of these little lovelies and today's card is Chicks with a Sprinkle on Top.  Ice cream solves a lot of problems... actually, probably whatever chocolate does not.  The challenge theme at Stampingbella this week is a sketch:
I like working with sketches because it takes so much time and work out of making a card because most of the design is already there.  I didn't add the squares but put some flowers on instead.  I needed the sentiment on the front and was having problems making it fit with the squares so I changed it up a bit.
That's it from me for today.  Take care and thanks for stopping by.

All Dressed Up's Mini Designers

Hi All!
Instead of a new release for September, the team is celebrating and showcasing all our young crafters with a "MINI CHALLENGE"
This means any one can submit their project to the challengeas long as they are under 16years.   They can be your sons or daughters, brothers or sisters, Nieces or Nephews, Grandchildren, Godchildren, or just friends!
The only rules are that they be under 16 and they must use an All Dressed Up image.  There are a few fun freebies available here.
Winners from each different age groups will be able to pick an image of their choice from the shop. All the entries will be shown and celebrated on
September 22nd so head on over to the challenge blog to check it out and give your mini artist a helping hand posting their entry.
My post is showcasing my granddaughter Abi's entry using Mermaid Kisses.  Abi is 9 years old and from the time her little fingers were able to, she's been cutting, colouring and gluing.  We've spent many enjoyable hours in my craft room creating our 'masterpieces' and I've always let her use my Copics (she used to call them 'the special markers') so she's quite handy with them.  And glitter... that girl has always loved glitter and sparkle!  She's got loads of talent, creativity and always knows exactly how she wants her cards to look.
Thank you All Dressed Up for doing a challenge just for the mini artists!
