Gift Wrapped - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hi Everyone! We have a new challenge at the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog beginning today and the theme this Add Some Spring which means each of the DT will be using the Scissor Spring Mechanisms in various ways.  This is the niftiest little die which adds dimension and a bit of bounce to your project.

Once again, I used this little girl with a pile of presents fromt he Gift Wrapped set.  I love this image because it reminds me of my kids when they were little and they presented me with a glorious yellow dandelion.  Yes, it may have been just a dandelion but to them, it was an armful of presents and the most beautiful and glorious gift ever.  And it was... I miss those dandelions.
For today's challenge Elizabeth Craft Designs are giving away a $20 Gift Card to use on our website to 3 winners
To enter simply leave a comment on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Facebook Giveaway Blog Post or the Elizabeth Craft Designs Challenge post and tell us What Elizabeth Craft Designs dies or stamp sets would you use with the Scissor Spring Mechanism die set to create a card, scrapbook layout of home decor item?

Sea View - All Dressed Up Challenge

Hi Everyone and thanks for stopping by.
Today marks the beginning of a new challenge at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog  where the theme is always Anything Goes and the only rule to enter being you use an All Dressed Up image.  If you don't have any, they can be can either be purchased at the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop or downloading one of several cute freebies offered on the blog.
For today's card, I thought I would try a monochrome and Sea View seemed like a perfect image for it.  Doing monochrome always gives me pause because it can seem like an impossible task to colour an image with a few shades of the same colour but once you begin, it is really quite easy.  I recently got the Copic T colours and since then, it's been my new favourite shades of markers.  The card was relatively easy because there's no sentiment or embellishments on the outside of it, just the image.
Join us for some fun and wonderful creations at the Facebook Fan PageFacebook Challenge (there is a theme for this one) and there's also a Pinterest page to view some more gorgeousness.
Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Rubbernecker Stamps Recycle Challenge

Today is the beginning of a new challenge at the Rubbernecker challenge blog and the theme for Challenge #31 is Recycle!  For my card, I grabbed a leftover piece of Kraft paper from my scrap box and luckily there was enough to do the card base and a front.    I used the 5100-01D Small Flower Die and cut out a few flowers on the card front and then outlined them with a Copic Multiliner.  The flower with the button is a cutout from the patterned paper and glued to the cardstock.
Be sure to pop by and enter the Rubbenecker Challenge - there's a chance to win one of two generous gift certificates, first place being a $25 Rubbernecker gift certificate and second place is a $10 gift certificate.  You can find the challenge rules & requirements here.  There is also a Facebook Fan Page with lots of inspiration and updates on sales & product.

Dragonflies - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hi & I hope you are well.  .
For today's card, I used the pretty Dragonfly die and Smooshing technique and there is a tutorial on the  Elizabeth Craft Designs with the steps I did to create the card.  I quite like the technique of using the double sided clear tape on dies, etc and then adding glitter which is easy to do and can really jazz up a piece and give it some sparkle.  I used the tape on both the dragonflies and outer edges of the card.
Thanks for popping by & have a great week.

Orange You Glad We're Friends? Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hi and thanks for dropping by.
For today's card I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Cute Food Clear stamp set and these punny little images and sentiments just crack me up.  So simple and silly and I just love them.
I was feeling pretty darned smart realizing I had orange paper for the card base and matching enamel dots.  I couldn't tell you when I last used orange card stock if ever and I'm not even sure why I had it but am glad I did.  These work up so quick, especially when you have the corresponding dies to cut the images out.
Once the design had been chosen, it took no time at all to assemble this card and I can think of so many people it would be perfect to send to.
