Chickens - Artemio

Hi there and glad you stopped by.
I needed a quick birthday card last week and thought it was about time I used the Artemio set called Picoti Picota which is just the cutest set of clear stamps.  I've had this set for ages and ages and although this is the first time I've used it, I think it is so versatile for creating some quick little scenes like this. If you are wanting it, I hope you have an easier time finding it than I did.  Once I'd seen the set used on someone's blog, I became obsessed with finding it (you know how we can get) and I finally found it at an online shop in Great Britian.
Once I decided on a sentiment to use, I made it on my computer using a Typewriter font and then added three chickens from the set, which I coloured with Copic markers.  A few of the beautiful enamel dots from Your Next Stamp, some white dots on the chickens with a White Kirarina Wink pen and it was done.
Have a good week!

Caroling Chicks - Stampingbella

Hi Everyone!
I need to step up my game because this is the first Christmas card I've made this year.  Normally I try to have a few done by now so I can avoid the panic and rush closer to Christmas but I am way behind this year.  I don't know why I'm lagging... I'm so busy doing nothing yet I always think I'm busy.  hahahahha.... oh well!
Today I used the cute Stampingbella Caroling Chicks.  I've used this cute stamp before and likely will again and again.  The little guy on the far right just cracks me up... either he's just a grump or the others couldn't carry a tune if they had a pail!
I used Lawn Fawn's Puffy Cloud Border die and coloured the image with Copics.  The paper is from a gorgeous pad of Christmas paper by Reflections which I got at Michael's awhile back.  The little jingle bells were also a Michael's purchase.
I hope you are having a great summer and thanks for stopping by!

New Hair Do - All Dressed Up

I hope you are well and enjoying your summer.  As in many parts of this country, we are in a heat spell and it is hot, hot, hot! I am so glad we have central air conditioning to retreat to because for some afternoons, it is just too warm to be doing anything outside.
Today marks a new challenge at All Dressed Up Challenge Blog and my choice of digis to use is New Hair Do.  Loved this sweet image as soon as I saw it and couldn't wait to add it to a card. The theme at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog  is always Anything Goes with the only rule to enter being you use an All Dressed Up image.  If you don't have any, they can be can either be purchased at the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop or downloading one of several cute freebies offered on the blog.
Join us for some fun and wonderful creations at the Facebook Fan PageFacebook Challenge (there is a theme for this one) and there's also a Pinterest page to view some more gorgeousness.
Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Meet Edna - Stampingbella

I've attempted a new picture because the one below was very poor.  This time I set the card upright rather than lay it down which did turn out better except all the sequins fell to the bottom.
Hi there and I hope all is well with you.
Today's card is a Stampingbella image called Meet Edna.  Of all the lovely Stamping Bella stamps, I think Edna is my favourite.  She has an adorable sweet shyness to her but I think she also has a campy, vampy side... maybe after a couple glasses of wine?  At any rate, I do like her.
The card was very easy to work up because Blogabella has a sketch to follow for this week's challenge so that's what I used in the design but I decided to make it into a shaker card.  The phot did not turn out like I'd hoped... I had to photograph it laying on the table because the lighting caused such a glare on the acetate.  I will try to do a clearer one later once my camera battery is charged.
Here is the sketch and link:

Holiday Girl - All Dressed Up

New images at All Dressed Up!!
Wendy has done it again with four new All Dressed Up images for July and I want to show you Holiday Girl.  This set includes several images including the girl, her shades, hat, flip flops and another outfit.  I am sometimes at a loss as to how to use all the pieces of an image and I was also a bit rushed for time. To keep it simple and not tax my brain too much, I simply added the accessories to a separate page and typed out a sentiment.
Pop over to check them out at the Etsy store to check them out and I'm sure you won't be disappointed because they are cute, cute, cute!  Also drop by the Challenge Blog to see the pretty projects the design team has created.
There are two All Dressed Up challenges running right now, the Blog Challenge (ending on the 14th) and the Facebook Challenge  (ends on the last day of the month).
Also, be sure to pop by both challenges to see what the rest of the team have been creating.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

Summer Breeze - All Dressed Up Release

Hi there and welcome to the June release for All Dressed Up Stamps.  Wendy has created four more gorgeous images for us/you to choose from and I'm sure you can agree they are adorable.

        Daddy's Day                                                     Summer Breeze

     Flower Pots                                                     New Hair Do

Cute, huh?  They are all available now at the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop and while you are there, if a few more 'just happen' to fall into your cart, well... stuff happens!
Be sure to pop over to the All Dressed Up Stamps to see the release and lovely creations the rest of the team created.  Also, there is an All Dressed Up Facebook fan page and a Facebook Challenge so lots to see and do!
I used the sweet Summer Breeze image for my card.  This image works up so quickly - I think it took me longer to decide on which paper to use.  I'm not sure why the hair seems so dark in this photo because it's really more blonde than it appears here.
I also have to tell you about these gorgeous little paper clips.  I got these from 7 Kids College Fund and they are made by Prima.  I quite like them and also have to give a shout out to Kelly from 7 Kids College Fund who has stellar customer service. It's quick and she really goes the distance to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase so many thanks Kelly!
Thanks for dropping by and have a great week!

Girls Happy Trio

Happy June 2017!  Can you believe it's here already... the year is nearly half over and my mindset is still in February.
We have a new challenge at Making Memories Crafting and the theme is a bingo board, any line, any way so it's  fairly easy theme to follow.  There are also a few new lovely girls on the design team so pop on over to the blog and check that post out as well.
Our sponsor this month is the very generous Bugaboo Stamps where you'll find lots of great images, digi papers and sentiments.
For my card, I used the Girls Happy Trio image which is fun and a perfect depiction of a group of best friends or it would be ideal for sisters.  The sentiment is computer generated and I used the AR Christy font.  My first pic was a bit of a bust... hahahah... had it finished and watermarked and then realized I hadn't coloured the hair.  It's so odd to me how you just don't notice those things when the card is front of you but you can spot it immediately once it's on your screen.  At any rate, it took only a moment to add some colours and re-do the photo.
My term is up so this is my last post for Making Memories Crafting.  I would like to thank Sonia and the rest of the team for having me and to welcome the new girls to a wonderful group.
Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

Close Your Eyes - LOTV

Today's post is about a card I needed for a wedding shower.  By all accounts, I figured it would be quick because I'd had it all planned out in my head and it started out well but then you know what happens to the best of plans... sheesh!  One thing after another... one of my 'incidents' was that I must have spent an hour trying to tie a decent bow for the top where the big diamante gem is.  I'm not the best bow maker, in fact, I'm probably one of the worst (which is why you don't see much ribbon on my projects) but I finally managed a successful bow and whooohoooo.... put it in place and no way was that going to work because there just isn't room at the top and the double bow I'd managed overlapped onto the heads.  So... I hemmed and I hawed and finally decided on the gem alone.
Anyway, we've all had cards like this but I had to git 'er done so onwards and forwards.
Below is a quick pic of the inside of the card and I can see I need to do a new light box because this one seems a little ragged:
And a pic of the one side of the inner card.
I adore this sweet Lili of the Valley image called Close Your Eyes and it seemed perfect for the shower gift and I'm hoping the recipient likes it too.  A bit of money popped inside and off to the shower I go.  I usually give money gifts simply because it seems easier.  Most of the newly marrieds have either lived together or been on their own for awhile so this way, they can buy what they want.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Spring Walks - All Dressed Up

It's mid month and that means time for a new challenge at All Dressed Up's Challenge Blog.  It's easy to participate because it's always Anything Goes and the only rule is that you must use an All Dressed Up image, either digi or rubber.
I used Spring Walks for my card.  This image was among April's new releases and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to use it.  I'd also like to have those long legs and look that good in blue jeans...
We are having some great weather here and I think spring has finally sprung!  This is my favourite time of the year with all the trees leafing out, flowers blooming and grass growing.
Anyway, time to get busy... you have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
